Rumors began to swirl about a possible Adidas AE 2 pattern, which leaked about a month ago without any real confirmation. The molded TPU upper resembled Edwards' existing AE 1 and featured his logo on the tongue tab, a clear nod to his successor model. Fans immediately took notice and voiced their opinions on social media.

At first glance, we see another ultra-futuristic silhouette from Adidas, utilizing their TPU molding technique and creating the entire upper out of the material. We also see an inner bootie that contains the sockliner and tongue, with an extremely familiar toe box shape up front. With various “leaks” and alleged sample pairs circulating online, fans have repeatedly linked these to Anthony Edwards due to the “AE” logo on the tongue tab.

However, a verified account on X spoke up on the platform and explained that it was actually not the anticipated Adidas AE 2. Although the source states that the information is “confirmed,” we are not sure who would confirm such news considering Adidas has been tight-lipped about the upcoming model.
