Michael Madsen arrested for domestic violence

As Deadline confirmed, Michael Madsen was arrested over the weekend for domestic violence after Los Angeles County Sheriff's officers responded to a call about an altercation between the actor and his wife at their Malibu home.

Officers were called to the home just after midnight Saturday by an adult female who claimed Madsen had pushed her and locked her out of the house, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Adam Zeko told Deadline. When they arrived, the woman was safe with a security team, Zeko said. Madsen was taken to the Malibu/Lost Hills Police Station around 1:40 a.m., where he was arrested for domestic violence and released on $20,000 bail.

The crime of domestic violence falls under Penal Code 243(e)(1), which means that force or violence was allegedly used against a roommate.

A former SAG-AFTRA presidential candidate, Madsen is best known for his collaboration with Quentin Tarantino in films such as Once upon a time… in Hollywood, Reservoir Dogsand the role of Sidewinder in the Kill Bill films. His most recent films include the indie Last mission, South of Hope Street And The Outlaw Johnny Blackamong others. He recently filmed a role alongside Tanner Beard in Blood behind usa dramatic thriller by director Brendan Gabriel Murphy (Fluxx) and Shaun Hart (The case).
