Two dead after incident at a house in North Andover

Two people are dead after an incident at a North Andover home, the Essex County District Attorney's Office said. The home in the 200 block of Turnpike Street was surrounded by police and crime scene tape Monday night. More than a dozen police officers and several patrol cars, including members of the North Andover and Massachusetts State Police, could be seen outside the home on video from Sky 5. One person was pronounced dead inside the home, and another was later pronounced dead after being hospitalized with serious injuries, the Essex County District Attorney said. Officials did not provide details on the nature of the incident or the victim. A large section of Turnpike Road is closed, according to witnesses. North Andover Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker's office were in the early stages of an active investigation. Authorities are asking for the public's cooperation and asking them to stay away from the area.

One person's death was confirmed at home, while another's death was confirmed later after he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, the Essex County District Attorney said.

Officials have not released any details about the nature of the incident or the fate of the victim.

According to witnesses, a large section of the Turnpike Road is closed.

Detectives from the North Andover Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the office of Essex County District Attorney Paul Tucker were in the early stages of an active investigation.

The authorities are asking the public for help and asking them to avoid the area.
