One person was seriously injured in an accident on State Route 84 in Stanfield today.

The Arizona Department of Transportation and the Arizona Department of Public Safety are on scene where a head-on collision between two vehicles occurred between White and Parker Road and the closed Smith Road.

The detour takes an estimated 20 minutes.

The number of victims is unknown, according to DPS spokesman Bart Graves. One victim's injuries are life-threatening.
