Man arrested and charged after robbery at 7-Eleven parking lot in Pahoa | Crimes and Courts

HAWAII COUNTY (Island News) – Hawaii Island Police have arrested and charged a Puna man in connection with a robbery in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven in Pahoa.

District Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced that 38-year-old Benjamin Aldosa Jr. was arrested and charged in connection with a robbery that occurred on Friday, August 16, 2024, in a 7-Eleven parking lot on Pahoa Village Road.

According to police, Aldosa hit another man several times before taking his laundry bag and leaving the scene on foot.

Aldosa made his first appearance in Hilo District Court on Monday afternoon. The district court judge released Aldosa, who was previously held on $50,000 bail, under supervision and ordered him to appear for a preliminary hearing on September 4, 2024.

Aldosa was charged with second-degree robbery, a Class B misdemeanor punishable by either 10 years in prison or four years' probation and up to 18 months in prison.
