iPhone SE 4 leaks: Launch schedule, Apple Intelligence credentials, specs, price and more

Apple is probably gearing up to launch the iPhone 16 series, but leaks about the iPhone SE 4 are also doing the rounds on the internet. The details about the launch schedule and eligibility for Apple Intelligence come from a reliable Bloomberg reporter, Mark Gurman. The good thing is that the specifications and design of the upcoming iPhone SE phone have already been leaked several times. Here's everything you need to know.

Apple is expected to unveil its new iPhone SE 4 as early as early 2025. The device is also expected to support Apple Intelligence, making AI features even more accessible to users who cannot afford a flagship device and opt for an SE model. The iPhone SE smartphones have always been about offering pretty powerful performance and an iOS experience at a more affordable price compared to the ultra-premium iPhones.

The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to feature several notable improvements including an OLED display from BOE, a refreshing design, and a USB-C port, which would be a significant improvement over Apple's previous smartphone iPhone SE 3. The design of the SE 4 is said to be similar to the iPhone 14, which will be a big relief for iPhone SE buyers as it can offer a larger battery and screen as well as a modern design. The upcoming iPhone is said to have a 6.1-inch screen.

Earlier prototypes suggest a significant battery upgrade. The SE 4 could have a 3,279mAh battery, similar to the iPhone 14, which is a significant increase over the 1,261mAh battery in the iPhone SE 3. The new SE model is also expected to be powered by Apple's A16 Bionic chip, the same chip found in the iPhone 15.

Despite these upgrades, the SE 4 will likely have only a single rear camera, like previous SE models, which typically have fewer cameras than flagship models. More details are expected in the coming weeks.

To recall, the iPhone SE 3 was announced in India at Rs 43,900. Since the iPhone SE 4 is set to receive major upgrades, Apple might consider a price hike for the new iPhone. But nothing is officially confirmed yet. Stay tuned to India Today Tech for all the updates.
