GTA 6 is the most expensive game of all time, according to leaks

It is perhaps common knowledge that Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be one of the greatest games of all time.

What we didn't expect, however, was how much effort it would take to create the highly anticipated Rockstar sequel.

The release is planned for 2025. Grand Theft Auto VI is the long-awaited sequel to 2013 Grand Theft Auto VI.

After a hiatus of over ten years, Rockstar Games is back with the open-world action-adventure title and it's safe to say that fans are eagerly awaiting its release.

The sixth part takes us back to Vice City and the surrounding area and introduces us to the brand new protagonists Jason and Lucia. It promises to be another epic adventure.

So epic that it was reported that GTA VI It cost about $2 billion to produce.

If this is true, it is the most expensive video game of all time.

This news comes from the infamous Rockstar hacker who uploaded over 90 clips of GTA VI and its source code and has already put it online in 2022.

Although the $2 billion figure has not been confirmed by Rockstar or publisher Take-Two, it would make sense given the scope of the sequel.

In comparison Marvel's Spider-Man 2 had one of the largest budgets in recent years, with production costs estimated at around $300 million.

However, GTA-V which was released over a decade ago, reportedly cost eight times less than the estimated $2 billion of its sequel.

Although we have only seen one official trailer for GTA VI, we can already tell that it will push the boundaries of gaming with both its story and its performance.

Needless to say, the production costs for this ambitious title may never be confirmed, but whatever they may be, we hope it was worth it.
