According to the Highway Patrol, a car driven by an 18-year-old Sonora man suddenly changed lanes in a construction area and struck a construction vehicle. The driver suffered serious injuries. A 27-year-old worker was in the bed of the vehicle and suffered moderate injuries. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor. Due to this investigation, only one lane was open all morning. SO THERE ARE STILL SOME DELAYS IN THAT AREA, BUT THEY ARE WORKING NOW TO CLEAR THE SCENE AS THEY HAVE COMPLETED THE INVESTIGATION THERE. 29 MINUTES ON 205 WEST FROM I-5 TO 585, 80 AFTER 22 MINUTES OVER ALTAMONT PASS AND THEN 99 FROM MODESTO TO MANTECA, 12 MINUTES THERE AND MINOR DELAYS ON 120. AS YOU CAN SEE HERE THROUGH STOCKTON, NO MORE PROBLEMS ON 5 AND 99 AS WE WORK OUR WAY UP TO SACRAMENTO. NO PROBLEMS OUT OF ELK GROVE. HERE'S A VIEW OF INTERSTATE 80 THROUGH ENTERPRISE BOULEVARD FOR THOSE OF YOU ENTERING THE CAUSEWAY. THE HEADLIGHTS ARE POINTING THAT DIRECTION AND WE SEE NO DELAYS ON 80 ALL THE WAY FROM ROSEVILLE TO THE CAUSEWAY. HIGHWAY 50 IS ALSO FREE FROM FOLSOM. Two people were injured in a car crash in San Joaquin County Monday night, the California Highway Patrol said. The CHP was dispatched to westbound Interstate 205 near El Rancho Road around 10:30 p.m. While changing lanes, a car collided with a cherry picker parked in an active construction zone. A worker in the truck was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, the CHP said. The driver of the car was also taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
