“Dahmer was just the beginning.” Netflix has released a teaser for a fascinating true crime series. Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendezcreated by Ryan Murphy & Ian Brennan. After production Dahmerthey came up with this series next. It is a dramatic version of their story, not really a documentary series, but a thriller series based on a true crime that explores what might have really gone on. Two rich brothers are on trial for killing their parents. They claim they were acting in self-defense after years of abuse, while the prosecution suspects greed as a motive. The story follows Lyle and Erik Menendeztwo brothers who shot and killed their parents in their Beverly Hills home in 1989. During their trial, the brothers cited years of abuse as the reason for killing their parents. However, prosecutors argued that their motive was to get their hands on the family fortune. Javier Bardem and Chloe Sevigny play their parents Jose & Kitty Menendez, with new additions Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Cook Portrayal of the brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez. Nathan Lane Also in the cast is journalist Dominick Dunne, who covered the trials for Vanity Fair. You can take a look below.

Prosecutors argued they had wanted to inherit the family fortune, but the brothers claimed – and insist to this day, as they serve life sentences without the possibility of parole – that their actions were motivated by fear of a lifetime of physical, emotional and sexual abuse at the hands of their parents. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story delves into the historic case that took the world by storm, paved the way for audiences' modern fascination with true crime, and in turn asks that audience the question: Who are the real monsters? Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez is a true crime series created by TV creators/writers Robert F. Kennedy And Ian Brennan. With writing by Ryan Murphy, David McMillan, Todd Kubrak, Ian Brennan and Reilly Smith. And episodes directed by Ian Brennan, Max Winkler, Paris Barclay, Michael Uppendahl and Carl Franklin. Executive producers are Murphy, Brennan, Eric Kovtun, Alexis Martin Woodall, Scott Robertson, David McMillan, Louise Shore, Carl Franklin and Javier Bardem. Netflix will debut Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez Streaming on Netflix starts 19 September 2024 this fall.
