Judge dismisses George Santos' lawsuit against Jimmy Kimmel over Cameo videos

Former Rep. George Santos lost a lawsuit in federal court against Jimmy Kimmel the same day he pleaded guilty. Santos claimed Kimmel's show tricked him into recording absurd Cameo videos for a segment titled “Will Santos Say It?”
The judge ruled that Kimmel's use of the videos was protected by fair use law because they served a “transformative” purpose of political commentary. The documents further state that the segments in which the videos were shown served as criticism and commentary on a major public figure and that audiences would understand that.
