A homeowner in the 9100 block of Devonshire Drive was less than thrilled when he discovered that his wood grinder had been stolen.

13 August

The theft of personal property occurred at an unspecified time in 4100 block of Crossing Lane.

14 August

A thief went for a joyride in a vehicle that was taken from the 6400 block of Joyce Way.

An unspecified crime was reported from a shopping center in 5300 block of West Lovers Lane.

A clever thief broke the padlock at the entrance to a construction site in the 10000 block of Bushire Drive and got away with stolen property.

At 5:07 p.m. a trespassing warning was issued. Northpark Center.

Items were stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot at Northpark Center.

15.August

A thief stole from a supermarket in the 4300 block of West Northwest Highway.

A motor vehicle was seized with the consent of the owner at Northpark Center.

16.August

A theft occurred in 5200 block of Walnut Hill Lane at an unspecified time.

An uninvited visitor entered a vehicle without the owner’s permission in 5300 block of West University Boulevard.

A threatening man cocked the bolt of his pistol and aimed at a person in a commercial building in the 3800 block of West Northwest Highway.

A construction site in a shopping district in 8400 block of Preston Road valuable property lost to a thief of the night.

A burglar in an alley escapes with stolen property in the 6400 block of Royal Lane.

The theft of a motor vehicle occurred in the parking lot of Northpark Center.

18.August

At an unexpected time, goods were stolen from a grocery store in the southeast corner of Royal Lane and Preston Road was stolen.

The 5200 block of Walnut Hill Lane was again plagued by a theft.

A motor vehicle was found in the parking lot in the 4800 block of LBJ Freeway.

Property was stolen from a retail store in Northpark Center.
