Montgomery County teacher arrested in fentanyl death – NBC4 Washington

A Montgomery County Public Schools elementary school teacher has been arrested in connection with the overdose death of a man in Washington, DC, police said.

Sarah Katherine Magid was arrested Monday after police and special agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search and seizure warrant on her Burtonsville home, police said.

DEA agents and police investigators discovered that a man who died of a fentanyl overdose in March had been in Montgomery County in the days before his death and had been in contact with Magid, police said.

Police said Magid violated Maryland drug laws but did not provide further details about the charges against her or say what charges she faces.

Magid is in jail awaiting a bail hearing, police said.
