Neighbors and city leaders react to drag racing videos on social media

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A concerned woman in the Anthony Wayne neighborhood says the situation regarding reckless drivers in the area is getting out of control.

Police are investigating after a “large, uncoordinated group” of drivers were filmed driving recklessly through Fort Wayne on Saturday night.

Some witnesses described the situation as “out of control” and expressed fear that it could happen again.

21Investigators found videos and reports of reckless driving at three intersections – E. State Boulevard and Hobson Road, N. Anthony Boulevard and Lake Avenue, and Smith and Engle Roads.

According to some people from different parts of the city, this has been going on for longer than just this weekend.

City Councilman Russ Jehl represents the Second District, the Fort Wayne neighborhood where many of this weekend's videos were shot. Jehl says FWPD has turned to social media for answers.
