HERNANDO, Mississippi (WMC) – An escaped DeSoto County inmate has been found after months on the run.

The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office held a press conference confirming that U.S. Marshals tracked 30-year-old Joshua Zimmerman to a Chicago restaurant on Tuesday.

DCSO says he is currently barricaded in the building and is the only one in the building.

Zimmerman, who is suspected of attempted murder and robbery, was able to leave the DeSoto County Courthouse in Hernando on Friday morning, June 14, according to police officials.

The reward for information leading to Zimmerman's whereabouts has been increased twice to a total of $15,000.
