Man injured in shooting near grocery store in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KOLN) – Lincoln Police are currently investigating a shooting outside an apartment complex near 33rd and Holdrege Street.

According to LPD, it started with an argument between several people in front of the Kwik Shop at that intersection. The group then went behind the store to the nearby apartment complex, where police say the shooting occurred.

According to LPD, a man was shot in the right leg and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers are still searching for a suspect who fled in a car, but believe there is no longer any danger to the public.
