Drug trafficking investigation in Walla Walla leads to 7 arrests | News

WALLA WALLA, Washington – Seven people suspected of being part of a regional drug trafficking organization were arrested in Walla Walla.

The Walla Walla Regional Drug and Gang Task Force stated that on the morning of July 24, task force members and other investigative teams executed search warrants in the 600 block of Juniper Street and the 200 block of Tausick Way as part of an investigation into the organization.

The searches led to the arrest of two people on Juniper Street. One of them was allegedly the leader of the organization. They were accused of distributing methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine. The third person was arrested on Tausick Way for conspiracy to traffic cocaine.

In total, about $30,000 in cash, four weapons and two pounds of cocaine were found.

Four other people were also arrested on similar charges related to their alleged membership in the organization. They were each arrested at different locations in Walla Walla.

Each of the alleged suspects was taken to the Walla Walla County Jail by the United States Marshal's Service and subsequently transported to the Yakima County Jail.
