Binghamton man arrested for drug possession in Wayne County

A Binghamton man was arrested Tuesday evening on a warrant from the Town of Lyons for drug possession. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported that Joshua Barber, 40, of Upper Court Street, was taken into custody at 7:40 p.m. at a residence on Hawley Street in Binghamton.

Barber is charged with seventh-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office where his CAP arraignment is scheduled for 7:00 a.m. on August 21.

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances that led to the arrest warrant.
