Buffalo man faces life sentence for drug and gun possession

A 25-year-old Buffalo man faces life in prison after being arrested on drug trafficking and illegal weapons charges. Raekwon Gordon was arrested on April 5 following a police chase that ended on Roslyn Street, where officers recovered two loaded firearms, including a machine gun, and 336 fentanyl pills.

Gordon, who has a previous felony conviction, is believed to have thrown a firearm from the vehicle during the chase. Police also found over $5,500 in cash on him. His DNA was later linked to the machine gun.

Gordon appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer and remains in custody pending a detention hearing. Buffalo police and federal agents participated in the investigation.
