Young gangster can't contain his laughter in viral YSL trial clip

Young Thug couldn't hold back his laughter during a court hearing earlier this week when his attorney Brian Steel drew an analogy to the YSL RICO case. “To me, this whole thing is like I got a bag over my head and I got hit with a baseball bat and I don't know where to hit because I got nothing,” Steel jokes in a video going viral on social media. In the background, Thug bursts into laughter.

“I'm glad he's still staying positive lol,” one user responded to the clip on X (formerly Twitter). Another wrote back, “I couldn't even laugh anymore after 2 years of going through what he's going through… I'm glad he's still up for it.” Another agreed, “It makes my heart smile that he can still smile and take the situation with humor because after that fiasco of a trial I wouldn't be able to keep my composure in that courtroom. I would have been kicked out a LONG time ago for my aggressiveness.”

Opening arguments begin in the trial of 31-year-old US rapper Young Thug and 28 others facing organized crime charges. The defendants are accused of multiple offenses that support an overarching conspiracy charge, including murder, assault, auto theft, drug trafficking and theft. The viral clip comes as the YSL RICO trial, already the longest in state history, continues to drag on. Yak Gotti's lawyers recently filed a motion to put a time limit on the prosecution's case, citing repeated poor preparation and inefficiency in presenting evidence. They argued that “the court should use its discretion to prevent this trial from dragging on indefinitely and beyond the bounds of time…”
