Police report drug-related arrests and seizures | Local news

Terre Haute police announced three arrests Wednesday as a result of numerous investigations conducted by the Vigo County Drug Task Force over the past month.

Police said the following people were arrested and charged:

• John Butler, 52, of Terre Haute, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.

• Thomas W. Brickert, 22, of Terre Haute, trafficking in marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

• Odunayo Ilemobayo, 23, of Terre Haute, trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

During the investigation, police said they seized over $100,000 in cash, as well as over five pounds of marijuana, three pounds of methamphetamine, over 1,000 illegal THC vaping cartridges and several firearms.

The Vigo County Drug Task Force worked closely with various agencies including the THPD K9 Unit, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program, and the Vigo County District Attorney's Office.
