Man shot in traffic accident in Bellingham drives himself to hospital

From The Bellingham Herald

A man was shot and a suspect was arrested in what authorities describe as a road rage incident, according to Bellingham Police Detective Megan Peters.

The shooting occurred around 9 a.m. Sunday in a two-vehicle incident near the intersection of Iowa and Moore streets. Peters said the vehicles involved were a green Ford Explorer and a silver Honda sedan.

The man who was shot drove himself to St. Joseph Medical Center and later reported the shooting.

Investigators plan to question him again after he has undergone treatment for his injuries, Peters said.

Investigators managed to identify 23-year-old Kipp Bradely Snell as a suspect.

He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Police were unable to provide a place of residence for either of the two people involved.
