San Bernardino man arrested for sex crimes against children; investigators search for more victims – VVNG.com

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A 29-year-old San Bernardino resident was arrested for sex crimes against children and police are searching for additional victims.

On August 19, 2024, the Crimes Against Children Division of the Special Investigations Division of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department completed an undercover chat operation.

During the operation, Robert Anthony Rodriguez responded to a posting by an undercover Crimes Against Children Unit agent on an anonymous chat site.

Sheriff's officials said Rodriguez began a conversation with the detective posing as a 13-year-old girl. Rodriguez agreed to continue communicating with the undercover person outside of the original chat platform under the username “909goodtimesonly.”

“During the communication, Rodriguez agreed to meet with the undercover agent to engage in sexual activity,” officials said.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino. He was held on $50,000 bail. He was arrested for violations of PC 288.2(a)(2) (distribution of harmful substances to a minor), PC 288.3(a) (contacting a minor for lewd purposes), and PC 288.4(a)(1) (arranging to meet a minor for the purpose of committing a sex crime).

Investigators believe there may be more victims and have now released a photo of Rodriguez.
