Police make arrest after viral video shows dog groomer kicking small dog

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida. – Authorities have announced an arrest in a disturbing animal cruelty case captured on video.

The incident occurred earlier this month in Miami Gardens.

A video shows a man wearing a zookeeper's shirt kicking a small dog that is apparently in his care several times.

On Wednesday evening, police announced that 33-year-old Richel Yumar-Gonzalez had turned himself in and made a full confession.

He is accused of animal cruelty.

Deluxe Mobile Grooming owner Yosuan Rodriguez spoke to Local 10 News about the incident on Tuesday and said he fired the employee as soon as he learned of the incident.

Police said they spoke with Rodriguez during their investigation and that he helped officers locate Yumar-Gonzalez.
