The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department expects more arrests in the murder of Karla Terron

A week after Juan Figueroa of San Fernando was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the brutal killing of local mother Karla Terron, investigators are working to make more arrests in the case, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD).

Figueroa's bail was set at $1 million and his arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, August 22, at the San Fernando Courthouse. Figueroa, 30, was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. on August 14 at his home in the 1500 block of Knox Street, booked into the San Fernando Police Department and later transferred to the Men's Central Jail in Downtown LA, where he remains in custody.

LASD Lt. Michael Modica said the department expects to arrest and charge more people it believes were involved in Terron's murder, but the names of other suspects and other details were not available at press time.
