Police investigate shooting in southwest Birmingham that left two injured

Two people received medical treatment following a shooting in southwest Birmingham Wednesday night. Birmingham police said officers responded to the 700 block of 30th Street SW just after 8 p.m. on Aug. 21. That's Birmingham's Germania Park community. Officers learned two people had been shot. BIRMINGHAM, Alabama —

Two people were treated medically following a shooting in southwest Birmingham on Wednesday evening.

Birmingham police said officers responded to the 700 block of 30th Street SW shortly after 8 p.m. on August 21.

This is in the Germania Park community in Birmingham.

Officers learned that two people had been shot.

At last check, police said the extent of the victims' injuries was unknown and there was no indication of a suspect.
