BLACKPINK power: The quartet's debut single “WHISTLE” is their 8th music video and reaches 900 million views on YouTube

BLACKPINK continues to set an unprecedented standard of success for their contemporaries. Now, their debut single WHISTLE, which once dominated the music charts, has given them another milestone. The music video for this song has been viewed over 900 million times on YouTube.

On August 22, BLACKPINK's chart-topper WHISTLE reached a whopping 900 million views for its music video. This is the group's 8th music video to surpass the view count on YouTube.

Previously, “DDU-DU-DDU-DU”, “Kill This Love”, “BOOMBAYAH”, “AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST”, “HOW YOU LIKE THAT” and the accompanying dance practice video as well as “Ice Cream feat. Selena Gomez” had been viewed over 900 million times on YouTube.

Meanwhile, WHISTLE, released on August 8, 2016, managed to achieve this feat within 8 years of its release. On that day, BLACKPINK took to its official social media channels to share the good news with fans and thank them for their contribution to the group's success.

On August 8, 2016, BLACKPINK made its highly anticipated debut with two singles – WHISTLE and BOOMBAYAH. Now YG Entertainment has confirmed that they will make their highly anticipated comeback in 2025 and that the megastar girl group will go on a world tour following the new release.
