It is wrong that Alexis Bellino threatened Shannon in DUI video

Alexis Bellino has heated up after her hiatus from the Real Housewives of Orange County. Alexis didn't have a huge fan base back then, and now viewers are wondering what exactly she's up to with her highly acclaimed return.

Fans were divided when Bravo announced that Alexis would be back on RHOC. But the show needed a little restructuring. However, I can't help but feel that this restructuring came at the expense of Shannon Beador. The longtime cast member has had a rough few years. Between her divorce from David Beador, split from John Janssen, and multiple lawsuits, Shannon isn't getting any rest. She also didn't do herself any favors by driving drunk. I was looking forward to the interaction between Alexis and Shannon, but as it stands now, I don't like the murky direction it's headed in.

Alexis Bellino will not be silenced

On the latest episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, Alexis laid all her cards on the table. I understand Alexis wants to protect John Janssen, but is she going too far? Lex really opened up during her Kumbayah moment with Tamra Judge, Katie Ginella, and Jen Pedranti.

Alexis explained that John was more than ready for war in the form of a video drop. According to “Happy Go-lucky Lexi,” her new boyfriend has a handful of videos from the night Shannon was arrested for drunk driving. As fans know, Shannon drove her car into a house and tried to pretend she was walking her dog, Archie. The room immediately went silent, and Jen became very worried. The squatter asked, “Has anyone thought about what this would do to Shannon? To her family? In my opinion, it's wrong.” The answer is no. That said, Shannon could always…not drive while drunk.

Fans question Alexis Bellino's moral superiority

Now, I'm not saying Shannon's behavior was right. Not in the slightest. Alexis always claims she is a true Christian, but this move doesn't seem very Christian at all. Alexis isn't even the victim here, but if her “better half” is attacked, she will defend herself. The drama is actually between John and Shannon.

Does Alexis Bellino want to fight Shannon Beador?

When the season premiered, it felt like Alexis was planning on having a big fight with Shannon. Let's look at the facts. Alexis' storyline is that she's dating John. But remember, she was back on the show before she got together with him. The first sign of trouble came during Heather Dubrow's party. Shannon and Alexis agreed to chat outside. Shannon tried to make her point, but Alexis just kept talking. The conversation escalated, with Alexis raising her voice and blurting out, “There's the door, Shannon Beador,” which seemed very rehearsed.

When I saw John on FaceTime, it became clear to me as a viewer that Alexis has no interest in becoming friends with Shannon. I understand that every Real Housewives show is about bringing drama, and on RHOC, there is drama.

I question Alexis' motives, especially after she added, “It's going to ruin her life. The videos are definitely horrific. After I saw them, I could never feel the same way about her again.”

Real Housewives of Orange County is currently streaming on Peacock.
