Motorcyclist killed in accident in Suffolk on Wednesday evening: police

MILLER PLACE, NY — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Miller Place Wednesday evening, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, the crash occurred at 9:55 p.m. at the intersection of Route 25A and Oakland Avenue. A man was riding a Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle westbound on Route 25A when he crashed into the side of an eastbound 2017 Toyota Prius as the driver turned left onto Oakland Avenue, police said.

medical assistant with the Suffolk County Coroner's Office, police said. The driver of the Toyota, Jennette Wohlars, 49, of Sound Beach, was not injured, police said.

According to police, no charges have been filed in the accident.
