Man killed in car crash on Highway 63 South in Thayer

Thayer, Missouri – On August 21, 2024, a man was killed in a car accident.

According to a news release from Thayer Police, the crash occurred at approximately 5:32 p.m. on U.S. Highway 63 South in Thayer, Missouri. Thayer Police dispatched officers to the scene and determined that the vehicle involved was a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck. The driver of the vehicle was 77-year-old Richard Haigwood of Alton, Missouri. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information about the crash has been released.
