Julianne Hough is still standing by her viral “energy work session” after it drew exorcism comparisons in 2020.

The former “Dancing With the Stars” actress addressed the controversial practice on Monday’s episode of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast “Off the Vine.”

“I've had some of these supernatural experiences and a lot of people have said, 'Oh, she's lost it,'” the 36-year-old dancer admitted.

She recalls social media users claiming “demons and an exorcist” were coming out of her butt when footage of Dr. John Amaral working with her at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, circulated online.

“Of course, that was almost five years ago and it's much more accessible today,” Hough noted. “People understand what's happening. Energy is everything.”

The viral Facebook broadcast showed the actress's body thrashing and her letting out what appeared to be involuntary screams as Amaral hovered his hand over her body.

She then told viewers that she felt “free inside.”

Hough said, “I can speak my truth clearly, stand in my power, and not feel overwhelmed by emotions. My mind and I feel free inside to just be.

“Our body is the vessel in which we store our energy and that is the most important thing we can pay attention to,” she added.

Elsewhere in Monday's episode, Emmy nominee Gwyneth Paltrow praised her “courage and bravery” in facing criticism for her “esoteric” behavior.

“I’m so grateful to her,” Hough gushed, calling the 51-year-old Goop creator a “pioneer.”

She explained: “When you pioneer something and have the courage and the guts to make it public, you are bound to get a strong reaction. I respect her for that.”

Hough appeared on Paltrow's Netflix show “The Goop Lab” in January 2020, while Amaral completed several “healing sessions” on camera.

Derek Hough defended his sister at the time against claims that she was “crazy” and “insane.”

The 39-year-old World of Dance judge wrote: “Diving into it with an understanding of pure energy is a pretty wild experience. Perhaps ahead of its time, but it's worth keeping an open mind.”
