Pike man arrested for drug trafficking and child endangerment

Timothy Beaver

PIKEVILLE, Kentucky – During a drug investigation, a Pikeville man was arrested not only for drug trafficking but also for child endangerment after police observed the condition of his home.

Pikeville police searched the Island Creek home of 41-year-old Timothy Beavers and seized a significant amount of meth, as well as smaller amounts of Suboxone and Neurontin. Police also noted poor living conditions in the home, where two children lived.

The police report mentions the presence of cockroaches and rodent droppings and that the house smelled of dog and cat urine. It goes on to say that the floors were stained and there was hardly any way to walk through the house “due to garbage and other obstructions.”

The social welfare office opened a case against the home and the children were placed with relatives.

Beavers was arrested for meth trafficking, drug possession and endangering the welfare of minors.
