Investigators are asking for public help as I-70 shooting victim remains stable

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri (KCTV) – Investigators have asked the public for help in locating the gunman who left a victim in critical but stable condition on I-70 in Independence.

Independence, Missouri police announced Thursday, August 22, that the victim of a Tuesday shooting on I-70 near Little Blue Pkwy. remains in critical but stable condition.

Investigators have asked the public for help in identifying the owner of a white four-door sedan with tinted windows, possibly a Chrysler.

Emergency responders said they were called to the scene around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday with reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim, who was taken to a nearby hospital.
