Four injured after rollover accident in Rolette County

ROLETTE COUNTY, ND (Valley News Live) – Four people, including a 1-year-old child, were injured in a rollover crash Thursday night in Rolette County.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling on ND HWY 5 near Dunseith around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, when the vehicle left the road and entered the ditch.

The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to go into the ditch on the other side. The vehicle overturned and landed on its wheels. Several passengers were thrown from the vehicle. None of them were wearing seat belts.

According to NDHP, the passengers were flown by air ambulance to Trinity Hospital in Minot and Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Charges have currently been filed against the unidentified 22-year-old driver.

The accident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
