RFD TV premiere: Trey Calloway releases new single “Backroad Believer” today!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Texas Country Music Association Award-winning artist Trey Calloway is excited to announce the release of his latest single, “Backroad Believer.” Co-written by Trey Calloway, Steven Cade and Andrea Renfree, this upbeat, rocking country track offers an electrifying blend of positivity and spirituality, blending Calloway’s signature country and Christian influences. The song is inspired by Calloway’s roots as the son of a preacher who developed both his faith and his love of country music and the open road during his teenage years. Currently nominated for the Texas Country Music Association’s 2024 Christian Songwriter of the Year for “Backroad Believer,” Calloway’s latest release was produced by Grady Saxman and features background vocals from close friend and former contestant on The Voice, Tae Lewis. The song made its debut on RFD-TV and was featured in CCM Magazine.

“Backroad Believer” comes during a year marked by significant milestones for Calloway, including over 1 million additional streams on Spotify and features on CMT. He also secured the title of “Country Song of the Year 2023” from both the Texas Country Music Awards and the Josie Music Awards, as well as “Gospel Song of the Year” from the Carolina Country Music Association.

Calloway has consistently paved the way for his album on September 27th, with singles like “Wanted man”, “You don't need a woman”, “Miss, the morning is over”, “Neon Lies”, “The Forgotten Man”, “Horses in Heaven,” And “I miss country music.”
