Here is the upcoming release date for season 3 of The Client

One of Netflix's surprise hits continues to be The Client, the adaptation of the books that was previously made into a movie starring Matthew McConaughey. Now Manuel Garcia-Rulfo stars instead and the series did great on Netflix for two seasons. Now we have a release date for season 3.

Netflix has announced that the release date for season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer will be Thursday, 17 October 2024, only two short months left. We knew it was coming out sometime in 2024, but it's nice to hear that it now has a concrete date and isn't somehow being pushed back like it often happens.

We also know what the third season of The Lincoln Lawyer is based on: The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in the series, as the series does not tell all the books in sequence. It deals with the case of Andre La Cosse, who is accused of murdering an old friend of Mickey's.

Apparently Neve Campbell is back in some capacity this season, but not as a series regular. Her character isn't actually part of this book, but new photos show her with Mickey. She may not be staying long, though.

Season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer has been confirmed to air all 10 episodes at once. Season 2 aired five episodes at one-month intervals, which is Netflix's philosophy with any reasonably popular show on the service, and some are even split into three parts. It remains an annoying practice and a cheap way to ensure people keep their subscriptions active for at least two months rather than just one. It's fantastic to see The Lincoln Lawyer avoid this, and I hope other shows do the same.

The Client was not renewed for two seasons for season 4, but given its low cost, relatively high popularity, and limitless source material, it seems like a show that will stay on Netflix for a while, unless viewership completely collapses for some reason. Both season 1 and season 2 received good reviews from critics and viewers, meaning there doesn't seem to be a drop in quality or interest at this point. We'll see how season 3 fares this time, and hopefully they can keep the magic alive.

As I said, the third season of The Lincoln Lawyer premieres on October 17, 2024, and there will be a lot more to talk about then.
