Columbus restaurant Ding Ho is going viral on TikTok. See why it's standing out

The oldest Chinese restaurant in Columbus has gone viral on TikTok for serving up an appetizing menu and popular spring rolls, and is a generational gem. Ding Ho, a restaurant that has been operating since 1956, is home to Cantonese cuisine that locals say is the best in the city, the Columbus Dispatch reports.

TikTok foodie Rob Martinez (@eatingwithrobert) visited Ding Ho and shared how the restaurant invented the popular dish Wor Sue Gai: chicken boiled in broth, deboned, fried and topped with sauce, crushed nuts and scallions. The video, posted on August 14, has since garnered more than 715,000 views and more than 100,000 likes in less than a week.

Ding Ho, which translates to “the best,” is a family-run business that has been around for four generations, according to the TikTok video. In the background, a 90-year-old family member can be seen who reportedly comes to the restaurant every day to help out.

Another staple is the spring rolls, where the cabbage is passed through a specially made press before going through a sausage press. According to the video, Ding Ho makes about 3,000 spring rolls each week, which are then shipped across the country.
