TV crime thriller “Fatal Vision” will be released on Blu-ray Disc by Kino Lorber on September 10th

The 1984 TV miniseries Deadly Visionabout a true murder that served as inspiration for the popular 1960s television series “On the Fugitive” will be released on Blu-ray Disc by Kino Lorber on September 10th as part of the indie film distributor’s Studio Classics series.

The plot revolves around the murders of the pregnant wife and two young daughters of Captain Jeffrey MacDonald, an Army Special Forces doctor, in 1970 at Fort Bragg, NC

MacDonald claimed that burglars killed his family, but police suspected him and was convicted in 1979 of murdering his wife Colette and daughters Kimberley and Kristen. He maintained his innocence and filed numerous appeals. Joe McGinniss wrote a best-selling book about the crime, which was adapted for the film.

The cast of Deadly Vision The film stars Karl Malden, Eva Marie Saint, Barry Newman, Gary Cole and Andy Griffith. The film was nominated for five Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama/Comedy Special, and Malden won Outstanding Supporting Actor.

The Blu-ray Disc edition includes a new audio commentary by film historian and filmmaker Daniel Kremer.
