If you've been anywhere on social media in the past few weeks, you're probably aware of Jools Lebron and her “very low-key, very mindful” moment.

The Chicago-based trans TikToker sparked a viral trend earlier this month with a video showcasing her work style.

“See how I do my makeup for work? Very understated. Very attentive,” Lebron explains in the Aug. 5 clip. “I don't look like a clown when I go to work. I don't do too much, I'm very attentive at work. See how I look very presentable? The way I came to the interview is the way I go to the job.”

“Very low key, very mindful” went viral, with seemingly everyone on social media – including celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Gillian Anderson, Penn Badgley, Olivia Rodrigo, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis – picking up the trend. LeBron's video has been viewed 36 million times since August 5, and she's amassed nearly two million followers on TikTok.

On Monday evening she made her national television debut at Jimmy Kimmel Live. In his opening monologue, guest host RuPaul said that he spent the weekend watching LeBron's video and had to invite her on the show.

“Apparently the trauma you experience from working in retail is so strong that you start saying 'modest' on the internet,” said Lebron, who until recently worked as a cashier at a “very cute, very modest” grocery store in Illinois, of the inspiration behind the post.

“I feel like restraint is a state of mind,” she said of her newly coined slogan. “I used to be crazy and out of control, and then I found some restraint and with that came success.”

This success changed his life, as LeBron described in a post on August 14.

“Maybe you should do the videos,” she advised her fans, “because one day I worked as a cashier on my break and made videos, and now I'm flying across the country hosting events, and that's how I'll be able to finance the rest of my gender reassignment.”

“I finally said it without crying,” she added.

In addition to viral fame and her appearance on KimmelLebron has already worked with brands such as Verizon, Synergy Kombucha and Lyft, according to Tube filterAnd in recent weeks she has performed in New York, Las Vegas and LA

“Everyone keeps asking me how I feel about what's going on,” Lebron said in a tearful post on August 17. “And I feel so overwhelmed.”

But she added: “I'm living my fucking dream, bitch!”
