Subway cuts prices for Footlong kitchens

Subway will change its menus to lower prices on 12-inch sandwiches at stores across the country.

On August 26, Subway will offer its 12-inch sandwich for $6.99.

Customers can redeem the offer via the app or website using the code “699FL” and it ends on September 8th.

This summer, McDonald's restaurants offered a $5 discount menu.

The options, including a McChicken sandwich, a McDouble cheeseburger, 4 chicken nuggets, small French fries and a small soda, were to be sold at that price for only one month to lure customers back to the restaurants.

Fast food prices have risen dramatically in recent years due to a variety of factors, including increased costs for labor, food, and paper products. According to Technomic, a restaurant data company, between the first quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2024, spending per person per visit at a U.S. fast food restaurant increased 25%, from $12 to $15.

Other chains also reported declining sales. Starbucks announced in April that US consumer confidence had fallen more sharply and more quickly than expected between January and March. Starbucks announced that it will open its rewards app to non-members in July so that they can benefit from the offers on offer.
