Knowa De Baraso, content creator and rising star of the Democratic Party, captured the hearts and minds of attendees at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week. And he is only 12 years old.

An influencer from Georgia with 69,400 followers on X De Baraso discusses his political views and fights against misinformation. He is also the youngest person to attend the congress this year.

At the convention, he had the opportunity to meet many big names in the Democratic Party, including US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Reverend Al Sharpton, Representative Justin Pearson and Vice President Kamala Harris.

His argument with Mike Lindell, CEO of pillow manufacturer MyPillow, is particularly well-known. The interview went viral and many claimed that Lindell had been humiliated by De Baraso. De Baraso had accused him of spreading unsubstantiated information about the big lie that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump.

Twitter/X is pleased with the twelve-year-old's courage and commitment in the election.

“I am so proud of this young man,” said one tweet in response to an interview De Baraso did with Sky News, among other comments that attested to De Baraso's intelligence at such a young age.

“How can this little boy have more sense and understanding of how government policy works than you adults who say 'voting doesn't matter'?” added another comment.

De Baraso is also an advocate of encouraging the media to reach out to young people through social media. He says social media will play a big role in this election.

“Kids, 20- and 30-year-olds don't usually read old-fashioned news. They get their news from TikTok. They get their news from Twitter. They're kind of fed up with old-fashioned media,” he said in an interview with SkyNews.

With eight million new voters eligible to vote in the 2024 election, it is critical for Vice President Harris to engage with Generation Z voters.
