Viral video shows a black man armed with a hammer confronting a white man who has racially abused him before the altercation turns physical

A video shared on social media platforms shows a confrontation between two men that escalated into a physical altercation because one of them shamelessly used a racist slur.

The video shows a black man apparently confronting a white man in an apartment complex after he claims the man called him the N-word.

“You just called me an a**hole, brother,” the black man says as he steps out of a parking lot and onto the sidewalk to approach a white man carrying a beer bottle. “You just said you're going to kick my ass about three times.”

The black man is heard saying that he had only met the white man the day before and that he had been “cool” before the encounter.

“I won’t put up with any nonsense,” the white man is heard saying as the two walk back and forth.

“What do you mean I'm talking shit? You just said 'n****r'. I told you to watch that word,” the black man states, an accusation the white man denies.

And after denying using the insult, the white man says, “You're not going to do that to me. I'm going to get on your a**.”

Throughout the encounter, the black man has his hands behind his back, but at this point he brings them forward and reveals that he is carrying a chopping hammer that he had been hiding the whole time.

“That word is damn offensive, brother. Don't use it,” he says to the white man.

“Did I use it?” the white man replies as he closes the gap between himself and the other man.

The white player then tries to take the hammer away from him and the black player hits him.

The argument escalates when two white women, a mother-daughter duo, appear in the video and try to stop the two men.

The black man overpowers the white man, punches him repeatedly and throws him to the ground, whereupon the white man finally lets go of his beer bottle. A woman tries to pull him away while her daughter tries to stop her from interfering.

The black man can be heard saying, “I’m gone,” as he walks away with his hammer.

The video was viewed millions of times on X and reposted thousands of times. Several commenters pointed out that the white man's actions had consequences.

“You are free to say whatever you want and there are consequences,” one person commented.

“Brother wanted to be reasonable and polite, but the man would not hear of it,” said another person.
