Atmos Energy teams repair gas leak in West Jackson

Atmos Energy is working to repair a gas leak in West Jackson. According to Bobby Morgan, vice president of Atmos, the gas leak was discovered Thursday evening on Earle Street after a construction crew damaged a natural gas line while doing work unrelated to the energy company. Morgan said a precautionary evacuation in the area has been lifted and Atmos Energy's highly trained technicians are on site to make the necessary repairs. Morgan said residents can expect traffic delays and should take an alternate route.
