Fremont teaching assistant arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of sexual assault – NBC Bay Area

Fremont police have arrested a teaching assistant on suspicion of multiple sexual assaults, the department said Thursday.

Brandon Duran, 25, of Fremont, is suspected of multiple crimes after several underage students at the California School for the Deaf came forward with reports of alleged sexual assaults in Fremont and Livermore, police said.

Duran, who police say works as a teaching assistant at the school, is said to be involved in at least three different assaults.

Duran was arrested Thursday and booked into the Santa Rita Jail. He is charged with molestation or sexual assault of a child, oral sex with a minor, oral sex with a victim who was too intoxicated to resist, contact with a minor with the intent to commit a sex offense, oral sex under duress or fear, and unlawful sexual penetration.

According to jail records, Duran was being held on $190,000 bail Thursday night and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
