Fundraiser for karate teacher CS Kim after motorcycle accident

ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY TO DO THE SAME. MASTER KIM TALKS TO PITTSBURGH'S ACTION NEWS FOUR JUST ABOUT ELIZABETH LINDSAY, WHO AS HEAD INSTRUCTOR AT MASTER CS KIM'S NORTH HUNTINGTON LOCATION HAS INSPIRED KARATE FOR ALL AGES. SHE HAS MADE IT TO GRAND CHAMPIONS. I AM SO PROUD OF HER, VERY, VERY PROUD OF HER. HE SAYS MASTER LINDSAY'S FIGHTING SPIRIT AND STRENGTH WILL HELP HER ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY. SHE IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT IN NORTH VERSAILLES. I SPEAKED TO HER FATHER YESTERDAY AND THIS MORNING AND SHE TOLD HIM AND HE TOLD ME THAT I AM HER SECOND FATHER. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TO ANYONE. BUT I AM REALLY SAD FOR HER. BUT I WANT HER TO GET HEALTHY AND HE HOPES SHE WILL BE BACK IN SCHOOL SOON. HE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO WISHES HER ALL THE BEST. THE RIDE FOR ME MOTORCYCLE GROUP WILL HAVE A RIDE IN SUPPORT OF HER AND TO HONOR THE MOTORCYCLE RIDERS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES ON THE ROAD IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS. I PROBABLY BURIED 6 OR 7 GOOD FRIENDS SO WE NEED TO CREATE A LITTLE MORE AWARENESS WITH THE RIDERS. THE GROUP IS EXCITED THAT LINDSAY IS WORKING HARD TO GET BETTER AND IS GOING TO EXPERIENCE THE LOVE AND SUPPORT FROM THE HOSPITAL FOR HERSELF. WE ACTUALLY RECEIVED THE MESSAGE THAT SHE WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE RIDE SO HER NURSES CAN PUSH HER TO THE WINDOW AND SHE CAN SEE THE RIDE. WHEN I RECEIVED THAT MESSAGE I GOT EMOTIONAL. THE RIDE STARTS ON SUNDAY AT 12:30 PM AND THE TOURNAMENT IS NOVEMBER 2ND.

Fundraising with motorcycles and karate for the karate teacher injured in an accident

CS Kim Karate Master Elizabeth Lindsay in critical condition after accident in North Versailles

Master Kim, who owns CS Kim Karate, is planning a benefit tournament for his student and head instructor, Master Elizabeth Lindsay. Kim will speak only to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 about Lindsay, who has inspired all ages at the North Huntingdon location. “She's won three major championships,” he said. “I'm so proud of her. Very, very proud of her.” Kim said Lindsay has a fighting spirit and strength that will help her on the road to recovery after a motorcycle accident left her in critical condition in North Versailles. “I spoke to her dad yesterday and this morning recently and he told me I'm her second dad,” Kim said. “Nobody should have this happen to them, I'm really sad for her but I want her to get better.” Kim hopes Lindsay can return to school soon. He's not the only one wishing her well. The Ryde4me motorcycle group will organize a ride to support them and honor motorcyclists who have lost their lives on the road. “In the last four years, I've probably buried six or seven good friends,” said co-founder Mitch Luft. “We need to raise awareness a little more among riders.” The group is excited that Lindsay is working hard on her recovery and will experience the hospital's love and support for herself. “We actually found out that she will be able to see the ride,” said co-founder Tenisha Vennie. “Her nurses can push her to the window and she will be able to see the ride. When I got that news, I was very touched.” The ride begins at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Mount Washington. Kim is hosting the karate tournament on Nov. 2.

Master Kim, owner of CS Kim Karate, is planning a charity tournament for his student and head instructor, Master Elizabeth Lindsay.

Kim speaks to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 exclusively about Lindsay, who has inspired all ages at the North Huntingdon location.

“She wins three grand championship titles,” he said. “I'm so proud of her. Very, very proud of her.”

Kim said Lindsay has a fighting spirit and strength that will help her recover after she was left in critical condition following a motorcycle accident in North Versailles.

“I spoke to her father yesterday and this morning and he told me I was her second father,” Kim said. “No one should have to go through something like this. I'm really sad for her, but I want her to get well.”

Kim hopes that Lindsay will go back to school soon.

He is not the only one who wishes her all the best.

The motorcycle group “Ryde4me” will support them with a ride and honor motorcyclists who have lost their lives on the road.

“I've probably buried six or seven good friends in the last four years,” said co-founder Mitch Luft. “We need to raise awareness among drivers a little more.”

The group is excited that Lindsay is working hard on her recovery and will experience the love and support of the hospital.

“We actually found out she'll be able to see the ride,” said co-founder Tenisha Vennie. “Her nurses will be able to push her to the window and she'll be able to see the ride. When I got that news, I was very touched.”

The trip begins at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Mount Washington. Kim is hosting a karate tournament on November 2nd.
