The owner of a local massage parlor was arrested Friday following an investigation into reports of sexual assault at the location.

On Sunday, August 18, officers began investigating a report of sexual assault at a massage parlor in the 300 block of F Street. Officers found that the owner of the parlor, Jianzhao Dong, 58, of Eureka, was massaging a person when he sexually assaulted her.

On Thursday, August 22, officers with the Eureka Police Department obtained a warrant for Dong's arrest. The following day, Friday, August 23, officers arrested Dong at his store. Additionally, according to the EPD, Dong was served with a notice from the police chief informing him that his business operating permits, as well as registration certificates of Dong or his employees, would be revoked. Police say the registration certificates must be turned over to the police chief within five days of receiving the notice.
