Dolly Parton releases never-before-heard, decades-old song

Dolly Parton has just released a follow-up to her first rock album, a song called A rose doesn’t help.

The legendary musician collaborated on the new record with her family members, including her uncles, aunts, cousins ​​and siblings.

Heidi, the daughter of Randy Parton, the brother of the Jolene singer, was the lead singer of the latest song. A rose doesn’t helpwhile Dolly herself provided background vocals for the verses and chorus.

This song was originally written and recorded for the country music legend's 1998 album. Hungry againalmost three decades ago, the song never made it into the final version.

Heidi expressed her feelings about working on the song on her Instagram account, writing: “I am so honored to be part of this incredible family project. Having the song I was involved in released as a single is one of the greatest moments of my life!”
