Convicted sex offender arrested again in Hilliard – Action News Jax

Jacksonville, Florida – Nicholes Scott Newman is facing federal charges for distributing child sexual abuse materials.

According to the indictment filed in federal court on August 15, Newman exchanged online messages with an undercover agent posing as a 28-year-old mother with her 8-year-old daughter.

Newman introduced himself as a “42-year-old man looking for breeding opportunities.”

According to investigators, he had sexually explicit conversations about children and sent the undercover agent several videos showing child abuse.

Newman is a convicted sex offender. He spent six years in prison after being found guilty of 20 counts of possession of child pornography in Pinellas County. He was released from prison in 2019. His last address was Tracer Trail in Hilliard, according to Florida's sex offender registry.

Newman faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in federal prison.
