I spent $50 on a barbecue at Aldi and fed 4 adults, leaving plenty of leftovers

  • I wanted to host a barbecue for four people, so I went to Aldi with a budget of $50.
  • We had a choice of meat, sausages and burgers, and I was able to get plenty of side dishes to go with them.
  • The coleslaw wasn't amazing, but I would buy the pasta salad and the buffalo chicken dip again.

It's grilling season in the Midwest and Aldi is my go-to grocery store for all your essentials.

Some of my neighbors are die-hard charcoal lovers, but I prefer my gas grill for the perfect crust, especially for my favorite brand of burgers from Aldi.

Last week my fiancée and I invited two friends over for a barbecue. We had plenty of brats, burgers and beer and complemented our proteins with a delicious selection of sides and condiments.

Here's everything we bought at Aldi for $50 and how we used it at the meetup.

Prices are based on my local Aldi in Wisconsin and may vary.
