3 dead, 3 injured in six-vehicle crash on I-35 in Argyle

ARGYLE – Three people were killed and three others injured in a six-vehicle crash Friday evening on I-35 northbound at Crawford Road in Argyle.

The accident, reported at approximately 6:45 p.m., required the northbound lanes of I-35 to be closed for approximately five hours.

Two patients were resuscitated at the scene and six others were taken to Denton hospitals, including three who were pronounced dead, Argyle Police Chief Emmitt R. Jackson said.

The identities of those injured and killed in the crash were not immediately available.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. Jackson said the investigation is being conducted by the regional accident team, which includes Argyle Police and other local agencies.
