Teen charged in fatal Hickory Hill crash released from hospital, police said | News

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A juvenile charged in a stolen car crash in Hickory Hill that left three people dead and six injured has been released from the hospital and taken to juvenile court, MPD said.

The 16-year-old driver was charged with aggravated robbery, fleeing arrest in a vehicle and possession of prohibited weapons.

As FOX13 previously reported, the teen drove a stolen car from the Shadowbrook Apartments on Monday, August 19, and ran a red light at the corner of Kirby and Raines, causing a five-vehicle crash, the MPD said.

MPD also stated that all those involved in the accident were released or did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
